The sun is fading now, but some brave specimens are still eager to catch the last of the golden October light.
In the garden, the bees are buzzing around the ivy, one of the last flowering plants.
The rosehips hang like jewels on the dogrose:
The rocket has bolted, in one final dash for the year:
And the climbing rose gives up its very last blooms:
At the front, though, we might – *might* – get one more month if we’re lucky.
But today I could find some sprigs to freshen up Casa Roses:
And a small posy.
